Gender

Our Point of View: The world's population is roughly evenly split between men and women, with both genders facing challenges in today's world. Women continue what has been a millennia-long struggle for full equality, including all rights and privileges available to men. Men, on the other hand, find themselves struggling for a sort of liberation of their own - one that allows them the flexibility to express their maleness in the ways that best suit them. Whether they want to be construction workers or cosmetologists, whether they enjoy football or fashion, whether they tend to cry easily or hardly ever, men need the freedom to be individuals. But any real conversation about gender would be incomplete if it did not acknowledge the approximately 1.4 % of the population that is born physically intersexed, most of whom are only seeking respect and the right to exist. Additionally are those who psychologically identify with a gender different than what is indicated by their genitals, commonly called transsexuals.
These three groups represent the three most pressing issues facing humanity when it comes to gender issues - Equality, Individuality, and Dignity. We hope to work with various organizations to help secure these rights for all

We also recognize that various religions have different perspectives on what roles women are allowed to undertake, what they deem permissible for men and whether there is a place for intersex and transgender people among them. We respect these points of view and trust that people within their individual religious contexts will work to help their traditions find the balance that is appropriate for them. In the meantime, we work to ensure gender equality, individuality and dignity within the civil context.
